The Messy Box Kit:
My Graphic Dreams Kit:
Their kit only has 6 papers in it and of course I went a lot crazier than that. I pulled lots of papers from Heidi Swap's My Favorite Things Collection. I also pulled some black card stock from Color Box and several sheets of 6 x 6 papers from an American Crafts Collection. I pulled a vellum sheet of hearts from Paper Studio, and then pulled some 3 x 4 and 4 x 6 cards from WRMK Project Life Kit. I also pulled a group of alpha Thickers in green/yellow combination and some gold Thickers as well. Then a mixture of brads, clips, wood veneer, and chipboard pieces along with some flowers. I can't wait to start making pages from my kit. I hope you will join us and show us the pages you make too.
I love scrap booking with sketches. It helps me to get my pages done faster than if I try to come up with ideas on my own. Between the sketches and other peoples take on the sketches it helps me to stay focused on placement of papers and embellishments.

DeleteWhat an amazing kit - so bright and beautiful
ReplyDeleteI sure hope I can use the kit. It is a little out of my comfort zone. I will try and it probably will get toned down some before I am done.

DeleteClapping my hands! I have been so curious to see how the rest of the DT would interpret this bold inspiration kit - you have definitely nailed that graphic vibe. So happy that you have come out to play with paper this month with us at CKC!
ReplyDeleteYes just hope I can figure out how to use all that graphic vibe.
DeleteSo glad you are being featured this month! I rely on sketches as well as I feel design is my weakness in the scrapbooking process. YOu have gathered a vibrant array of supplies. Loving that heart paper and that "splat" looking stencil is a great addition to the "messy" inspiration. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about design as my weakness. I tell people I am a talented copy cat.
DeleteCongrats on being featured :) Fantastic collection you gather and just love the wonky heart vellum :) I seen that they only had 6 papers in it too and lots of cards, I agree I'll be adding more papers too like you did :) Yep I rely on sketches too and lots of challenge blogs to make it fun :)

DeleteA great array of papers - they capture the mood of the Messy Box beautifully!
